Teas to Help Ease Digestive Pains, Bloating and Constipation

There are numerous herbal teas which provide soothing and relaxing effects. Certain teas may even relieve constipation. Due to the laxative properties, herbal teas are a great remedy for digestive pains, bloating, and constipation.

Many people experience constipation. This uncomfortable condition is characterized by infrequent bowel movements or difficulty having a bowel movement. Hence, regularly consuming fluids such as tea is one of the best ways to prevent constipation or treat it. Consuming herbal teas will lubricate your intestines and provide constipation relief.

Herbal Teas for Digestive Issues

1. Peppermint, Chamomile, Licorice, Orange peel

To prepare this tea, you should use dried herbs. Make a big batch, and keep stored in a sealed glass jar to use. Simply boil them and consume them whenever your stomach is upset.

2. Chamomile Flowers and Dried Ginger

This is a great combination which releases digestive enzymes. Moreover, it increases absorption of nutrients. Simply steep the chamomile and ginger for a minimum of 10 minutes before drinking.

3. Fennel, Ginger, and Lemon Verbena

You should prepare this tea by combining 2 teaspoons fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger, and 1 teaspoon dried lemon verbena in 500 ml (16 oz) water.

4. Cumin, Coriander, and Fennel

This is a powerful tea which provides soothing properties and reduces bloating and inflammation.

5. Fennel, Peppermint, Ginger, and Chamomile

This is another powerful tea which prevents and treats bloating and painful stomach cramps.

6. Pear, Apple, Grapes, Cinnamon

This isn’t an herbal tea, but it is extremely powerful for treating digestive issues. You should prepare it by steeping 2 small slices of pear, 2 small slices of apple, 4-5 muddled purple grapes, and a dash of cinnamon in 250 ml (8 oz.) hot water.

7. Marshmallow Root, Rose Bud, and Cinnamon

This is another amazing tea which comes with soothing and warming properties. You should fill a pint jar with 3 parts marshmallow root, 2 parts rose buds and 1 part cinnamon. Cover with cool water and refrigerate overnight. Then, strain the next day and enjoy after meals.
